Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association members hosted a luncheon for legislators and staff at the State Capitol Annex on Wednesday, February 12. The luncheon provided veterinarians the opportunity to stress the importance of veterinarians being able to report suspected animal abuse. You may have heard: The misleadingly named Fairness to Pet Owners Act, which would require veterinarians to provide prescriptions for companion animal medications even if the client does not want one, has been reintroduced in Congress and is gaining momentum.
